I’m back! Which I’m still unsure is a good thing, but with this platform the idea was always to address the things I think have placed us firmly in The Dumbest Timeline. Series 2 will tackle Artificial Intelligence in creative spaces. If that isn’t an indication we’re in the dumbest timeline I don’t know what to say. A.I, was not meant to replace artists… but I digress.
I have wanted to discuss A.I, with creatives for awhile, but I wasn’t sure how to best handle the subject. For some A.I. feels like the cheaper hire that they trained to replace them, for others it feels like a tool that can never replicate their skills.
I personally am unimpressed with what we currently call “A.I” but am interested in the singularity. So thanks for joining me and I hope to alleviate some of your concerns about A.I., while potentially creating new ones…

Here’s a summary of the transcript in 300 words:
Welcome to the Dumbest Timeline Series 2, where we explore the most interesting and often concerning topics in the world of Web 3 and DeFi. In this episode, we’re diving into the world of AI, specifically the large language models that are making waves in the industry. The host, Brian Holiday, shares his thoughts on why he believes we’re living in the dumbest timeline, citing the overwhelming influence of greed and the lack of access to marginalized groups in the AI space.
Brian highlights the fascinating history of AI, from the initial excitement surrounding OpenAI’s chatGPT to the current state of large language models. He also discusses his concerns about the potential of AI to create bias and further exacerbate societal issues. One of the main takeaways is the importance of having creatives involved in the development of AI, rather than just relying on programmers and companies beholden to investors.
The episode also touches on the idea of artificial general intelligence (AGI), where AI can learn and adapt without human prompts. Brian expresses his enthusiasm for this concept, but also acknowledges the potential risks and concerns surrounding it.
Throughout the episode, Brian shares his thoughts on the importance of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in the AI space. He emphasizes the need for a more diverse range of voices and perspectives to ensure that AI is developed and used in a responsible and beneficial way.
Overall, this episode of The Dumbest Timeline Series 2 offers a thought-provoking exploration of the potential and pitfalls of AI in the world of Web 3 and DeFi.
