A long but interesting transcript! While not all of it applies directly to DeFi (decentralized finance), the podcast does touch on several topics related to DeFi, such as cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Two of the podcast’s contributors traveled to Taiwan to attend computex, a global exhibition for computer hardware components. They visited various exhibitor booths and shared some notable announcements, including advances in artificial intelligence (AI), which seems to be taking center stage in new processor designs. The companies’ focus on AI enables chat apps and image generation capabilities, among other innovative features.

In a similar vein, Microsoft’s newly launched AI feature, known as “co-pilot plus,” allows for some questionable data collection practices. When asked about the implementation, the contributor expressed a bit of surprise and questioned why Microsoft didn’t foresee this controversy.

The duo also discussed WWDC’s developments, such as their improved calculator app and lackluster performance in showing image generation features. Regarding iOS, Apple announced RC’s (RCS messaging standard) adoption, following rumors of Apple’s intention not to support Google’s alternative.

On a closing note, the podcast acknowledges increasing global scrutiny of giant companies like Apple and Google due to concerns over transparency and user freedom. Consumers desire more control over the hardware and software they utilize.
