Generate Testcases in JIRA Format

As a Web 3 DeFi tech editor, I’m excited to share with you a 30-day series on generating test cases using advanced prompting for JIRA. In this series, I’ll be showcasing how to create test cases that are commonly used by software testers in the industry.

In Day 3 of this series, I’ll be focusing on creating test cases with negative scenarios. Unlike basic test cases, advanced test cases require more detailed information, including user stories, screen fields, and functionality. By providing these details, we can generate exact test cases and test scenarios that are required for our project.

To create advanced test cases, we need to provide the following information:

  • User story: A brief description of the feature or functionality we want to test
  • Screen fields: The specific fields or elements on the screen that we want to test
  • Functionality: A detailed description of the expected behavior of the feature or functionality

By providing these details, we can generate test cases that are more comprehensive and accurate. This is especially important in the DeFi space, where testing is crucial to ensure the security and reliability of our applications.

In this series, I’ll be sharing my notes and insights on using generative AI for QA, as well as providing examples of how to create advanced test cases in JIRA format. Stay tuned for more exciting content!
